Mrs. Alyssa is the Founder & Director of Grassroots Learning, and is the Literacy Guide of both Elementary Co-op Cohorts. Before starting Grassroots, she was a teacher, Dean of Curriculum, Instructional Coach, and School Principal at schools in Southern California and New York City. She was inspired by her three children to start Grassroo

She was inspired by her three children to start Grassroots and bring an innovative learning program to Mason County.

Mrs. RyAnne is the Guide of our Upper Elementary Co-Op, and is an experienced homeschool parent with a passion for hands-on learning and a love of Montessori Education. She works with students in our classroom and also leads our elementary Farm Friday program, where we embrace outdoor learning and homesteading skills.

Miss. Abbie is our Lower Elementary Guide. She is a graduate of North Mason High School and Olympic College. She grew up here in our little town of Allyn. She has been working with children since she was a teenager. She is in the process of pursuing her Montessori Certification. In her free time she enjoys running, spending time with her golden retrievers and traveling the world!

She worked as a church nursery director, nanny for a family in Senegal, assistant teacher in daycare, and worked for two years as a paraprofessional for students with moderate to severe special education needs. When she is not teaching, she spends time with her children, enjoys photography, being outdoors, and baking sourdough.
